Vision Approved!
The Middle-Upper Sackville and Lucasville Community Liaison Group (CLG) is very pleased to announce that Regional Council approved the Community Vision and Action Plan on Tuesday, December 8, 2009.
Deputy Mayor Brad Johns recognized the efforts and commitment of the CLG volunteers, local residents and other community stakeholders who worked to achieve this important milestone.
Implementation of the new Vision and Action Plan will begin in 2010. The recruitment of a Vision Implementation Committee (VIC) will be a first priority. Stay tuned for more details on next steps and VIC recruitment opportunities.

The Middle Upper Sackville – Lucasville Community Liaison Group (CLG)
has worked hard over the last few months to develop a draft
Community Vision [PDF, 1.2MB] for our area.
The CLG is now distributing the draft hroughout the community. Please take some time to review the draft and fill out the comment sheet [MS Word, 90KB] by August 7, 2009.

Hard copies of the Vision are available at the Sackville Heights Community Centre.
Our Vision is what the community of Greater Middle Sackville should look like and be like 10 to 20 years into the future. The process to create it included a public consultation phase.

Middle-Upper Sackville & Lucasville Community Liaison Group
A volunteer Community Liaison Group (CLG) is guiding the visioning process. The CLG has held regular meetings in the community since September 2008.

Community Visioning Forum and Survey
During April 2009, residents were asked to submit their ideas and vision for the community through an Online Survey. The survey is now closed.
In February 2009, residents attended the Community Visioning Forum.
Thank you to everyone who has participated in the forum and survey. This feedback will be used to create a draft Vision and Action Plan. The draft will be shared with the community for comments in the near future.

Our job as members of the Middle-Upper Sackville & Lucasville Community Liaison Group is to gather your ideas and turn them into a Vision for this area. The Vision will then be put into reality through a variety of ways.
We want to come meet with the community groups personally and talk to you about your ideas and knowledge.
We meet most Tuesday evenings from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Harry R. Hamilton School library, 40 Hamilton Drive, Middle Sackville. Please contact us at msclg@eastlink.ca if you would like to attend.

On Thursday, May 29, 2008 a Community Visioning Kick-Off event was held at the Sackville Heights Community Center in Sackville.
Residents came out to learn about the Community Visioning project slated to begin in the Middle Sackville area this fall. Residents also enjoyed refreshments and local entertainment.
