Harbour East Community Council on the 2nd day of November, 2004 was included in District 4 - Cole Harbour, District 5 - Dartmouth Centre, District 6 - East Dartmouth - The Lakes, District 7 - Portland - East Woodlawn, District 8 - Woodside - Eastern Passage and District 9 - Albro Lake - Harbourview.  (Administrative Order Four)

Meetings are held in the Council Chamber (back entrance) former Dartmouth City Hall, 90 Alderney Drive, Dartmouth. Council meets the First Thursday of every month (unless otherwise notified).
