Mayor Peter Kelly and 23 Municipal Councillors, representing the 23 districts, are the council of the Halifax Regional Municipality. The council is the main governing and legislative body for the Municipality. Councillors also sit on boards, committeees and commissions, and community councils in the area where they were elected.
 Halifax Regional Council meets at Halifax City Hall, Council Chambers - 3rd Floor, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Committee of the Whole meetings are scheduled as necessary. Please check the council agenda to see if there is a Committee of the Whole meeting scheduled for the upcoming week.
