District 13 has a population of approximately 24,200 residents and is comprised of suburban residential neighborhoods, small coastal villages, and vibrant rural communities.
Since the 1960s, Hammonds Plains-St. Margaret’s has become a major destination with the formation of many large subdivisions with over 30 kilometres of pristine walking trails from Hubbards to Hubley, renowned sailing, a premier golf club, and one of Canada’s top tourism features – Peggy’s Cove.
District 13 is also home to a number of small coastal communities – including Queensland, Boutiliers Point, Seabright and Hackett’s Cove - famous for their beautiful beaches and warm hospitality.
It is also home to Peggy’s Cove, one of Nova Scotia’s most famous tourist attractions.
