Firefighters Bowl-A-Thon |
| Firefighters raised almost $25,000 for burn treatment at a bowl-a-thon sponsored by the Nova Scotia Fire Fighters Burn Treatment Society. Fromleft, Brin Jones, David Steele, Garrett Grosvenor and Lt. Robert Andrews represented Station 8 (Bedford) volunteers at the event. (See more...) |

Members of our Honour Guard flank the entrance to St. Agnes Church in Halifax May 6th as our inaugural Atlantic Canada Fallen Firefighters Memorial is about to get under way. The service was to honour firefighters from the region who have lost their lives in the performance of their duties. Fast Attack Saves Home in Hammonds Plains |
| A family on Paper Mill Lane in the Acadia Mill Rd. area of Bedford came within seconds of losing their home in a fast-moving fire that was literally stopped in its tracks by the prompt action of the members of the first-in truck, Engine 8 in Bedford. Here Capt. Cliff Messervey of Quint 7 checks for fire extension on the second floor. There was none. (See more...)
