HRM to Recognize 86 Volunteers at Annual Awards Ceremony

Wednesday, April 18, 2012 - Mayor Peter Kelly and members of Regional Council will thank 86 outstanding volunteers during HRM's Volunteer Awards Ceremony tonight at the Holiday Inn Harbourview, Dartmouth. The awards ceremony is held each year during National Volunteer Week.

Among the award recipients will be Volunteer of the Year, Richard Bureau; 10 recipients that were recognized at the April 2 Provincial Volunteer Awards: Sonia Watson, Stephanie Dube, Marie Burrell, Simon Gillis, Max Chauvin, Emma Cruddas, Richard Bureau, George C. Findlay, Carmel Carrigan & Caitlin Heimpel; and, three community groups: The Take Action Society, Friends of McNabs Island Society and The Youth Project Society.
