Metro Transit customers are advised of the following service levels for Monday, September 3, 2012:

Alderney Ferry:

Holiday schedule


Conventional Bus Service (including Beaver Bank Community Transit): Sunday/Holiday schedule


MetroX 320 Airport/Fall River:

Saturday/Sunday schedule

Woodside Ferry:

No service


MetroLink, MetroX 330 Tantallon/Sheldrake Lake, and Porter’s Lake & Sambro Community Transit:

No service

#84 Tall Ships Special

- 30 minute inbound service, 9 am - 10 pm

(Sackville to Barrington/Duke - MetroLink stop)

- 30 minute outbound service, 11 am - midnight

(Barrington/Duke - MetroLink stop to Sackville)

 

- Monday, July 23

#159 Portland Hills Link - 30 minute service until 12:00 pm

#185 Sackville Link - 30 minute service until 12:00 pm

 

Supplemental bus service on existing routes will be made available as needed.

#8 Waterfront provides 30 minute daily service along the Halifax waterfront, 6:30 am - 10:00 pm, from Barrington/Duke St., along Hollis to the Halifax Seaport, Cunard Centre, and then back along Water St. to Barrington/Duke St.

Ferry Service

She may not be the biggest vessel in the harbour, but she’s our pride and joy – and the best way to experience Tall Ships® 2012! Why not travel on the Metro Transit ferry to fully appreciate the beauty and majesty of the tall ships anchored along the waterfront.

We have extended our Alderney ferry service late into the night so that everyone can take part in the Tall Ships® 2012 waterfront events.

- Alderney Ferry Service (Dartmouth to/from Halifax)

Thursday, July 19 - Regular weekday service, with extended service until 1:00 am (last trip from Halifax departs at 12:45 am)

Friday, July 20 - Regular weekday service, with extended service until 1:00 am (last trip from Halifax departs at 12:45 am)

Saturday, July 21 - Regular Saturday service, with extended service to 1:00 am (last trip from Halifax departs 12:45 am)

Sunday, July 22 - 30 minute all day service, beginning at 9:00am from Alderney, until 1:00 am (last trip from Halifax departs at 12:45 am)

Monday, July 23 - Regular weekday service

- Woodside Ferry will operate on its regular weekday schedule.

chevron Detours for HRM Bike Week on May 27 

The Halifax Criterium Bike Race and the Halifax Bike Week Street  Party will be taking place in the Halifax Commons area on May 27, from 9am to 5pm.

The following detours will be necessary for the routes #6, 7, 18, 80, and 90.

Route #6 Stonehaven: Left on Brunswick Street, right onto Sackville Street, right onto Bell Road, straight onto Quinpool Road, to regular routing. Note that the route #6 Downtown will not be affected.

Routes #7, 80 northbound only: Left on Quinpool Road from Robie Street, right onto Windsor Street, right on Cunard Street, left on Robie Street to regular routing.

Routes #18 & 90 northbound only: Left on Quinpool Road from Robie Street, right onto Windsor Street to regular routing.

This winter be sure to drop by the the new Emera Oval located on the Halifax Common for an outdoor skate. There are several Metro Transit bus routes that serve adjacent or nearby bus stops, including:
