Halifax Community Carnival

Halifax Commons Soccer Pitch
Youth Leadership Halifax presents a community carnival! Bring your family to enjoy games, crafts, face painting and more on the Commons soccer pitch. Come join us for fun in the sun! Please bring a food donation or a donation of women’s shirts to participate. Donations will be sent to the Parker Street Food Bank and Bryony House.

Keloose Kids Parade & Fun Day
Saturday, August 17th 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Windsor Junction Community Centre
GRSCC Youth Leadership participants will be organizing a school supplies drive in association with the Keloose Kids Parade and Fun Day. NEW donations of looseleaf, pencils, erasers, duotangs, backpacks, etc. will be collected throughout the day and at the donation tables. You will find the Gordon R Snow Community Centre youth in the blue shirts!

All are welcome to stop by for free fun recreation activities and games! Learn about our upcoming recreation programs, facility rental opportunities and our Neighbourhood & Volunteer Services supports. Youth Leadership Carnival and BBQ
Saturday, August 17th 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
DeWolf Park, Bedford
Stop by for carnival activities with our youth volunteers in support of Feed Nova Scotia. Activities will include face painting, balloon animals, bracelet making, potato bag races and more! We’re accepting non-perishable food items for Feed Nova Scotia in exchange for carnival snacks like popcorn, hot dogs and snow cones. (Monetary donations will not be accepted). Brought to you by the LeBrun Recreation Centre and Bedford Hammonds Plains Community Centre.
Bake Sale & Games
Saturday, August 17th 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Cornerstone Park ('the hummingbird') , Middle Musquodoboit
Stop by for free games such as badminton, corn hole and giant checkers. Tickets can be purchased for other games such as fish pond, sucker pull, frisbee toss and minute to win it games. ($2 for 4 tickets or a donation of a non-perishable for item). Bake sale will be cash only. Proceeds from the event will go to Braeside Nursing Home and food donations will be given to the local food bank.
