Chocolate lake Beach
Chocolate Lake is surrounded by trees which provide a wealth of shade. While the beach itself is minimal, the man-made lake is large enough to welcome all comers. Chocolate Lake offers showers and changing rooms beginning in late May to September 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Aside from the lake itself, there is a tennis court and a basketball court available for public use.
LIFEGUARDS SUPERVISION
There are active lifeguards on duty beginning on July 1 to August 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m on fair weather days only. Chocolate lake beach has an extended season with supervision on September 4th, 5th and 6th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
SAFETY
The water at Chocolate Lake Beach is very welcoming, but gets deep very fast.
There are red bouys and bouy lines installed at this beach to indicate where it is safe to swim. The deepest point with-in the designated swimming area is between 5 to 6 feet. Once you leave the designated swim area the water gets very deep.
When swimming at any beach you should follow these safety guidelines.

Children Under the Age of 8 must be accompanied by an Adult in the Water and Must stay within Arms Reach at all times.

No Smoking or Vaping on the beach

WATER TESTING
Municipal staff regularly test the water quality for bacteria levels at all supervised municipal beaches, as well as one unsupervised beach, during the summer months (July 1 - August 31). Know your swimming limitations if you choose to swim in unsupervised bodies of water.
