Application by Kevin Riles to rezone 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 Catamaran Road from R-2P (General Residential) zone to R-3 (General Residential and Low-Rise Apartment) zone to permit the addition of two units in each three-storey (4-unit) apartment building. This would result in a total of six units per building.
Proposal
The applicant wishes to rezone the 5 properties in question from the existing R-2P (General Residential) zone to the R-3 (General Residential and Low-Rise Apartment) zone under the Halifax Mainland Land Use By-Law. The permitted uses under the R-2P zone include apartment buildings containing not more than 4 apartments whereas the R-3 zone permits apartment house of four storeys or less.

The application will be considered under the Land Use By-Law Amendment process.
