13.1.1 Approval of the 2018 Meeting Schedule (pdf)
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council approve the 2018 Meeting Schedule as presented in Attachment 1 of the November 7, 2017 staff report.

13.1.2 Councillor Appointments to the Halifax Peninsula Planning Advisory Committee (Memo) (pdf)
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council (HWCC) appoint up to two members from HWCC to the Halifax Peninsula Planning Advisory Committee for a term to November 2018 as per thee Terms of Reference for the Halifax Peninsula Planning Advisory Committee.

The Council may rise and go into a private In Camera session, in accordance with Section 19 of the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter, for the purpose of dealing with the following:

15.1 PERSONNEL MATTER

Citizen appointments to boards and committees in keeping with the Public Appointment Policy adopted by Regional Council in August 2011, to be found at www.halifax.ca

15.1.1  Citizen Appointments to the Regional Watersheds Advisory Board
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council:
1) Appoint one citizen at large to the Regional Watersheds Advisory Board as Halifax & West Community Council representative for a term to November 30, 2019 as outlined in Attachment 1 of the Private and Confidential staff report dated November 8, 2017.
2) It is further recommended that the citizen appointment be released to the public following ratification and notification of the successful candidate.
3) It is further recommended that the Private and Confidential staff report dated November 8, 2017 not be released to the public.

15.1.2   Citizen Appointments to the Western Common Advisory Committee
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council:
1)  Nominate two citizens at large to the Western Common Advisory Committee for a term to November 30, 2019 for consideration by Regional Council as outlined in attachment 1 of the Private and Confidential staff report dated November 8, 2017.
2) Nominate one resident of Goodwood/Hatchet Lake for a term to November 30, 2019 for consideration by Regional Council as outlined in Attachment 1 of the Private and Confidential staff report dated November 8, 2017.
3) It is further recommended that the Private and Confidential staff report dated November 8, 2017 not be released to the public.

15.1.3   Citizen Appointments to the Halifax Peninsula Planning Advisory Committee
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council:
1) Appoint up to four citizens to the Halifax Peninsula Planning Advisory Committee for a term to November 30, 2019 as outlined in Attachment 1 of the November 8, 2017 Private and Confidential staff report.
2)  It is further recommended that the citizen appointments be released to the public following ratification and notification of the successful candidates.
3)  It is further recommended that the Private and Confidential staff report dated November 8, 2017 not be released to the public.

15.1.4 Citizen Appointments to the Point Pleasant Park Advisory Committee
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council:
1)  Appoint up to five citizens to the Point Pleasant Park Advisory Committee for a term to November 30, 2019 as outlined in attachment 1 of the November 8, 2017 Private and Confidential staff report.
2) Appoint one citizen to the Point Pleasant Park Advisory Committee to fill an unexpired term to November 30, 2018 as outlined in attachment 1 of the November 8, 2017 Private and Confidential staff report.
3)  It is further recommended that the citizen appointments be released to the public following ratification and notification of the successful candidates.
4) It is further recommended that the Private and Confidential staff report not be released to the public.
