Project pro formas can be submitted to the Affordable Housing Grant Program by email: affordablehousingprogram@halifax.ca, be sure to include the name of your organization and project title.

Please attach a project construction pro forma that includes the following information at a minimum: 

  • Hard costs / cost related to construction
  • Soft costs /cost related to design
  • Project manager costs
  • Costs associated with the acquisition of land
  • All sources of financing, both confirmed and unconfirmed

Please attach a project operation pro forma that includes the following information at a minimum: 

  • Annual operation costs (utilities, property tax, maintenance, reserve) for the next 5 years
  • Rental income

Submission to Affordable Housing Grant Program will be reviewed by Halifax Regional Municipality staff and external representatives such as representatives from the United Way, the Canada Housing and Mortgage Corporation and Housing Nova Scotia.  If you have any concerns with this please reach out to the Affordable Housing Grant Program by email: affordablehousingprogram@halifax.ca; please be sure to include the name of your organization and project title.
