On January 16, at 6 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a car pedestrian accident in the 7100 block of Chebucto Road in Halifax. The vehicle, driven by a 50-year-old man from Cole Harbour, was making a right turn from Simpson Street to Chebucto Road when it struck a 19-year-old female pedestrian in a crosswalk. She was taken to hospital by EHS with what appeared to be minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle was issued a Summary Offence Ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
