The graduation ceremony for the class of the 2019 Halifax Regional Police Science Program will take place this evening in Halifax. The 23 cadets who graduate from the program will also be sworn-in tonight as new police officers of Halifax Regional Police.
The cadets successfully completed a 38-week program, that included both core theory and field assessment training. The new officers will fill existing vacancies in HRP’s Patrol Division.
“As these officers begin their policing careers with Halifax Regional Police, I am confident that they will serve our community with respect, compassion and integrity,” said Chief Dan Kinsella. “We welcome them to our police service, and by extension to Halifax Regional Municipality, and wish all of them a long and productive policing career.”
