Ballot verification for 2024 Municipal Election will resume at 11 a.m.

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that no further results for the 2024 Municipal Election and Conseil scolaire acadien provincial Election will be posted as of 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.

This is to accommodate the necessary validation process required before unofficial results can be posted.

The validation process will resume on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m.

Preliminary results remain available on halifax.ca/election. A public service announcement will be distributed once counting has been completed and unofficial results are available.

These results are not considered final until they have been certified by the Returning Officer.
