Residents of the Halifax Regional Municipality are welcome to attend an event marking the official launch of the Cogswell District project, the biggest city-building project in the history of Halifax.
A new neighbourhood will soon be built – where the Cogswell Interchange now stands – designed to connect downtown with the north end and waterfront, creating a stronger, more inclusive network of communities.
Hear about next steps from Mayor Mike Savage as the municipality prepares for construction to begin in 2022.
Location: North end of Granville Mall
Note: The event will be held outside and will take place rain or shine.
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 2
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Pedestrian access to a section of Granville Street, north of Duke Street, will be restricted on Tuesday, Nov. 2 between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to accommodate this event. Access to businesses on Granville Street will be maintained at all times.

Les résidents de la Municipalité régionale d’Halifax sont les bienvenus pour participer à un événement soulignant le lancement officiel du district de Cogswell, le plus grand projet d’aménagement urbain dans l’histoire d’Halifax.
Un nouveau quartier sera bientôt construit – là où se trouve maintenant l’échangeur Cogswell – conçu pour relier le centre-ville à l’extrémité nord et au bord de l’eau, créant ainsi un réseau communautaire plus fort et plus inclusif.

L’accès piétonnier à un tronçon de la rue Granville, au nord de la rue Duke, sera restreint le mardi 2 novembre, entre 8 h 30 et 13 h 30, afin de permettre la tenue de cet événement. L’accès aux entreprises sur la rue Granville sera maintenu en tout temps.
