At 9:35 a.m. on July 20, police attended a motor vehicle collision involving a bicycle at the intersection of Mumford Road and Chebucto Road in Halifax. The cyclist was struck by the vehicle while turning left in the intersection and was transported to hospital for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was treated and released at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was issued a summary offence ticket under section 93(2)(e) for failing to stop at a red light.
