Fourth man charged in aggravated assault

Officer assigned to the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, with the assistance of the East Quick Response Unit, have arrested a Fourth man in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on July 2 in Halifax.

On July 2 at 2:50 a.m., police responded to an assault call on Grafton Street near Prince Street. A 21-year-old man from Dartmouth was located at the scene with facial injuries and was transported to the hospital where his medical condition worsened. Officers were able to obtain descriptions of the possible suspects and the vehicle in which they fled. Approximately three hours later, officers responded to another unrelated altercation when a vehicle matching the description was stopped leaving the scene of this incident. As a result, 18-year-old Ky McKenna-Brown of Dartmouth was arrested and charged in relation to the assault. 

The investigation continued and at 11:48 p.m. on July 4, police arrested and charged 19-year-old Bryce Anthony Brooks.  On July 6, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police arrested a third man, 20-year-old Gregory Dylan Farrell of Dartmouth.

This morning at 1:20 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on highway 111, just before the McKay Bridge in Dartmouth. Twenty-one-year-old Brady Wheeler of Dartmouth was arrested without incident in relation to the assault. He is scheduled to attend Halifax Provincial court today to face charges of aggravated assault and additional charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of marijuana.
