At 1:57 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery at the Birch Cove Circle-K Irving located at 387 Bedford Highway. A man approached the clerk, demanded money and stated he had a gun although, no firearm was seen. The man obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot from the store. No one was injured during the robbery. Officers stopped a vehicle in close proximity to the robbery and currently have a 26-year-old man in custody. The investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
