At about 5:30 p.m. last night, Halifax Regional Police responded to a possible stabbing at No Frills located at 118 Wyse Road in Dartmouth. The security guard arrested a male for theft and as he was escorting him to the office the male turned and stabbed the security guard in the abdomen and fled. The accused was arrested a short distance away by patrol members. The security guard was taken to the QEII with non-life-threatening injuries. The young offender is being held for court on Tuesday.
