Officers responded to an incident between two people known to one another in Dartmouth.
The 43-year-old accused was leaving in his car when officers were arriving. The man accelerated toward the police vehicle, just missing it and crashing into a parked car. He was checked by EHS and released.
The accused is being charged with assault, property damage and dangerous driving.
