A Halifax Regional Police issued taser reported missing this week has been located and returned.
On Monday night, while on a foot pursuit on Yorkshire Avenue in Dartmouth, an officer’s taser became loose and fell from its holster. Officers searched the area minutes later and were unable to locate the taser.
The taser had been picked up by a member of the public and has now been returned to police.

Officers searched the area minutes later and were unable to locate the taser.
Police believe someone has taken possession of the taser and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating it. It is prohibited by law for members of the general public to possess police-issued equipment.
