Halifax Regional Police proudly announces that twenty-six cadets, who graduated at a ceremony last night for the 2023 Halifax Regional Police’s Police Science Program, have been sworn in as officers with the service.

“Our twenty-six newest officers come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wealth of experience, talent and dedication to their new roles,” said HRP Chief Dan Kinsella. “These officers worked diligently throughout the program, and, we congratulate them as they take their oath of office and embark on a rewarding career in policing with Halifax Regional Police.”

The Halifax Regional Police’s Police Science Program is offered through the Halifax Regional Police Training School in Dartmouth, a private career college recognized by the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education.

“I am confident that this newest generation of our officers will represent HRP well, and serve our community members with professionalism, respect and dignity. We wish them the very best,” said Chief Kinsella.
