Impaired driving incident resulting in injuries GO#20-131762

On November 7 at 10:05 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to 267 Prince Albert Road in Dartmouth for reports of a loud crash and a truck driving recklessly before leaving the road and colliding with a pole.

Police located the collision and had the road closed for a period of time.

The driver left the scene on foot but was quickly arrested. A passenger of the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

A 62-year-old Dartmouth man is held for court and was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm, having a blood alcohol content of 80 mgs% or more and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
