On July 2 at 6:54 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to an industrial accident at the Irving Shipyard on 3367 North Marginal Road, Halifax. A 40-year-old man had been struck by metal from a piece of equipment. He was taken to the hospital with what was believed to be life threatening injuries. The incident is currently being investigated by the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Halifax Regional Police.
