A Halifax man is facing charges after a weapons incident early this morning in Halifax.
At 12:15 a.m., patrol members responded to Spring Garden Road after four men were confronted inside a restaurant by an unknown man, who tried to engage them in a physical altercation. The suspect followed the four men when they left the restaurant, and confronted them by pointing a knife and threatening to stab them. The men contacted police and provided a suspect description, and responding officers quickly located the suspect nearby and arrested him without incident. They also located a knife on him.
Twenty-eight-year-old Michael George Bungay of Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face four counts of uttering threats and one count each of causing a disturbance, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach a of court order
