At 11:30 a.m. on January 7, Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Young Street and Isleville Street. The driver of one vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a vehicle already proceeding though the intersection. This resulted in the vehicle that was struck losing control and hitting the front of Delux Paint at 5651 Kaye Street causing significant damage to the building and the vehicle. EHS attended and transported the driver of the vehicle that struck the building to hospital for assessment, injuries do not appear to be significant at time of report.
The driver who ran the stop sign was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to vehicle already in intersection, Sec 122(1) MVA.
