The Halifax Regional Municipality has officially opened the 2024 Municipal and Conseil scolaire acadien provincial Election nomination period.
Prospective candidates can now submit their candidate forms at a scheduled in-person nomination appointment with the municipality’s Returning Officer.
Appointments are available beginning Thursday, Aug. 29 and will be available until Monday, Sept. 9. Appointments can be scheduled by contacting the Election Office at election@halifax.ca or calling 902-490-VOTE (8683).
A list of official candidates will be posted on halifax.ca/election on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

La municipalité ouvre la période de mise en candidature pour l’élection municipale de 2024
La Municipalité régionale d’Halifax est a ouvert la période de candidature pour pour l’élection municipale et du Conseil scolaire acadien provincial de 2024.
Les candidats potentiels peuvent maintenant soumettre leurs formulaires de candidature lors d’un rendez-vous de nomination en personne avec l’agent électoral de la municipalité.
Les rendez-vous seront disponibles à partir du jeudi 29 août et seront disponibles jusqu’au lundi 9 septembre. Les rendez-vous peuvent être pris en contactant le Bureau des élections à election@halifax.ca ou en appelant le 902-490-VOTE (8683).
Une liste des candidats officiels sera affichée sur halifax.ca/election le mercredi 11 septembre.
