On January 7, at 4:53 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a pedestrian/vehicle collision at Lacewood Drive and Sumac Lane, in Halifax. A 55-year-old woman had started to walk across Sumac Lane at Lacewood Drive, when a vehicle, that was turning from Sumac Lane onto Lacewood Drive, struck her. This intersection does not have a marked cross walk. The male driver of the vehicle topped immediately and assisted the woman. She was transported to hospital with minor injuries, the matter is still under investigation.
