The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the Point Pleasant Park Weekend Bike Access Pilot program will conclude this Sunday.
The pilot program temporarily permitted cyclists to ride on designated trails during Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from June 17 to Oct. 29, 2017.
Standard park rules will resume as of Oct. 30. Cycling will no longer be permitted in the park on Saturday, Sunday or Holidays.
This winter, municipal staff will be conducting a review of the pilot program to determine if future weekend bike access is warranted. Feedback from surveys, reports to 311, as well as insights from municipal compliance and parks staff will be considered as part of the review.
The municipality appreciates the participation and feedback of all park users during this pilot program.
