Police are investigating a report of a stabbing that occurred on a bus in Halifax earlier this week.

At approximately 7 p.m. on May 24 police received a report of an assault that had just occurred on a Halifax Transit bus, involving two men and a woman in which two of the individuals are believed to have suffered non-life-threatening stabbing injuries. All three exited the bus in the area of Oxford and North Streets and headed in different directions.

Officers arrested a male suspect a short distance from where the three people exited the bus and seized two knives from him. He was later released without charges. Investigators have been unable to locate the two potential victims and are asking them or anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.
