On October 24 around noon, Halifax Regional Police attended Africville Road in Halifax where approximately 50 protestors and 40 vehicles had come together for a planned peaceful rally and march for “Justice for Africville: Reparations Now.”

Police assisted participants by closing streets as the march progressed though the North End in order to maintain public safety. The protest was peaceful, and police encountered no issues with the participants.

We would like to thank all members of the public for their assistance and patience during this period of traffic interruption.
