Police have charged two men and two women with drug trafficking after two searches in Dartmouth earlier today.
At approximately 1 a.m. investigators in the Drug Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division conducted searches at two residences, one on Princess Margaret Boulevard and the other on Renfrew Street. Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested at each of the residences. Investigators seized a quantity of cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia at both residences as well as ammunition and a handgun at one of the residences.
Renee Ashley Faye Strowbridge, 26, of Dartmouth and Douglas Darrell, 62, of Dartmouth are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face charges of:
- Unsafe storage of a firearm contrary to Section 86(1) of the Criminal Code
- Careless use of a firearm contrary to Section 86(2) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose contrary to Section 88(1) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a firearm without a license contrary to Section 91(1) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a firearm knowing its unauthorized contrary to Section 92(1) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon contrary to Section 95 of the Criminal Code
- Possession of a weapon obtained by a criminal offence contrary to Section 96 of the Criminal Code
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act
- Production of a substance (cocaine) contrary to Section 7(1) of the Controlled
Drugs and Substances Act - Possession of Press for use in the production/trafficking of cocaine contrary
to Section 7.1(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Dylan Reid-Collicut, 28, of Dartmouth and Carly Seaboyer, 28, of Dartmouth, are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act 5(2).
