Halifax Regional Police has charged a man in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred July 23 in Halifax.
At 3:54 a.m., police received a report of a disturbance that had occurred outside an establishment in the 1600 block of Argyle Street. Officers located an unresponsive man on the sidewalk in front of the establishment. The victim was transported to hospital with what were believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Yesterday, investigators with the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division arrested Dorelle Trevya Parsons, 31, in Dartmouth in relation to the assault. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face a charge of aggravated assault.
Investigators are not seeking additional suspects at this time.
