Halifax Regional Police has charged a man with mischief as well as breaching his release conditions following an incident this morning in Dartmouth.
At 12:44 a.m., officers were in the area of Highfield Park Drive investigating a report of a man damaging two pay phones when a call came in regarding a man damaging doors in a building in the 100-block of Pinecrest Drive. The officers went to the area and heard banging coming from the top floor of a building where they located a man damaging a door. Thirty-year-old Gavin Sean Griffiths was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters.
Griffiths has been charged with three counts of mischief (property damage) and six counts of breaching a probation order. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to answer to these charges.
