Police have charged a man in relation to a stabbing that occurred yesterday in Halifax.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. police responded to the 5000 block of Cunard Street for a report of an injured person. Officers located an 18-year-old man who had been stabbed by another man who was known to him. The suspect fled the area on foot prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 5 p.m. officers arrested the suspect without incident in Halifax.
Daniel Angus Ryan, 29, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
