Halifax Regional Police has charged a man with breaching his release conditions following an incident earlier this week in Halifax.
At approximately 9:15 p.m. on June 24, police responded to a report that a man had breached his court-imposed conditions at an address in Halifax. Through the investigation, the responding officer determined the man, who is on conditions to not have contact or communication with anyone under the age of 18, had engaged in a conversation with a youth.
Officers arrested Jaddeus Joseph Poirier, 77, without incident at a residence in Halifax at approximately 4:45 p.m. on June 24. He appeared in court yesterday to face two counts of breaching an undertaking.
