Police investigate a break and enter into a school Go#19-147007

On October 14 at 12:23 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the Park West School at 206 Langbrae Drive, Halifax. A resident reported hearing several youths on the school property and feared they were causing property damage.

Police discovered a ground level window was broken, this is believed to be where entry was gained into the school. A classroom had sustained property damage. Police observed several youths fleeing the school property.

At 12:40 a.m., a 16-year-old youth was arrested nearby and taken into police custody without incident. The youth is being charged with break and enter and property damage. The youth was later released on a promise to appear in youth court at a later date and issued an undertaking.
