Police investigate assault

Police are investigating an assault that occurred in Halifax last month and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

Police received a report that on March 26 at approximately 4 a.m. an assault had occurred in the area of Blowers and Grafton streets. Two women, who were not known to each other, were in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical fight. The suspect hit the victim and threw her to the ground. The suspect left the area on foot and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white woman in her 20s to 30s, with a medium build and long dark hair.
