At 1:56 a.m. on December 31, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an injured male with injuries consistent with a stabbing entering the Dartmouth General Hospital Emergency Department. Officers confirmed the male was injured during an altercation in the 100 block of Shubie Drive in Dartmouth. Patrol officers, along with a Police Service Dog, responded to the area and conducted a thorough search of the area, but were not able to locate the suspect. There is no suspect description at this time and the incident does not appear to be random.
