Police investigate an attempted commercial Break & Enter GO#20-140615, 20-140617 & 20-140619

 Two suspects are in custody for weapon and drug offences following an attempted Break & Enter this morning.  

On November 29 at 4:22 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a commercial intrusion alarm at the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission located at 1940 Barrington Street, Halifax. When police arrived on scene, obvious attempts to enter the business were observed.

 A short distance away, police noted a man who matched the description of a suspect. He was with another man in a vehicle. Upon seeing police, the vehicle fled the area and was later stopped nearby. During the vehicle stop, officers were able to see and seize a quantity of drugs, cash and a loaded firearm.

Colton Grantmyre a 25-year-old man from Halifax will appear in Halifax court on November 30th, 2020 and Jared Taylor a 26-year-old man from Halifax will appear in Halifax court on February 9th, 2021 to face charges involving firearms offences and trafficking drugs.
