Halifax Regional Police is investigating what is believed to be an incident motivated by hate in Halifax.

Yesterday at approximately 12:20 p.m. police received a report of rope that had been placed in a tree in Africville Park in Halifax. The rope had been removed prior to officers’ arrival. After observing photos of the rope before it was removed, and given its location, officers are investigating the incident as if the rope was intended to be a noose.
