Update: Police can now confirm the identify of the victim is Triston Reece of Halifax. Our thoughts are with his family.
Update: Shortly after midnight the victim, a 19-year-old man from Halifax, passed away. The name of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification. The investigation is now a homicide. There is no suspect(s) information at this time. Traffic has been re-opened on Scot Street.
On July 26 at 5:35 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a man shot in the 7100 block of Scot Street, Halifax. Multiple officers responded to the scene and located a man with life-threatening injuries. The investigation is in the early stages and the Major Crime Unit and General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation.
