Police are investigating a robbery that occurred earlier today in Halifax.
On March 21 at approximately 12:50 a.m., police responded to a report that a man had stolen a backpack from a woman. The woman was waiting for a friend in the 1700 block of Barrington Street when a vehicle pulled up beside her. A man exited the passenger side of the vehicle, grabbed her backpack and got back in the vehicle which then fled the area.
Through the investigation, it was determined that one of the victim’s credit cards had been used at a gas station in Dartmouth.
The suspect is described as a white man with a slim build and wearing a dark coat. The driver of the vehicle is described as a white man with short dark hair. The vehicle is described as a white four-door sedan.
