Police Investigate Robbery & Arrest Suspect
At 9:23 p.m., on November 22, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at Fujiyama Restaurant, 5244 Blowers Street Halifax. The caller reported a man and a woman took a change jar and assaulted a staff member when fleeing with the jar. The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot. A staff member sustained minor injuries. The suspects are described as:
Suspect – White man, 30-40 years, thin build. Wearing: Red jacket.
Suspect – Black woman, 20’s, thin build 5’-5’6”. Wearing: Black hooded shirt.
Multiple patrol units and two Police Service Dogs responded. Officers located the man suspect near by on Barrington Street and arrested the male without incident. The woman was not located.
A 38-year-old man from Halifax is held for court and will be facing a charge of Robbery.
