Police investigate robbery and arrest two suspects GO#20-15385

On February 1 at approximately 9:36 p.m., a man met with a woman in the park at 110 Cranberry Crescent. When the man sat down on a bench to converse with the woman he was approached by a man who told him to “Give him his wallet and phone or he would be stabbed.”

The victim did not see a weapon and began to run from the park, while being chased by the man and woman. The victim ran towards a Halifax Regional Police vehicle which was patrolling in the area. The two suspects ran back into the park. Officers had a short foot pursuit and arrested the man who ran into a residence on Lapierre Crescent, the woman who was also in the residence turned herself over to police after a short negotiation. K9 located property belonging to the victim in the park.

A 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were charged with robbery and released on conditions with a future court date.
