Police investigate robbery of cab driver GO#20-15025

On January 31 shortly after 12:30 a.m., Halifax Regional Police received a report of a robbery that had just occurred around Prince Street and Argyle Street, Halifax. The driver of a taxi cab reported bringing a fare to this location from another address in Halifax. Upon parking the taxi, the driver was punched in the face by the fare who proceeded to grab a sum of cash and flee on foot. The suspect was last observed running up the hill westbound on Prince Street.  The driver was not seriously injured.

During the investigation, a man was identified by police, though no arrests have yet been made.
