Police investigate robbery GO # 20-90731

On August 7 at approximately 4:24 a.m., Halifax Regional Police were called to an armed robbery that had just occurred in the 2800 block of Gottingen Street, Halifax. A lone man with his face covered, entered the business with a knife. He obtained cigarettes and the cash register. The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described to police as a white man in his early 30’s, with a heavy set, who is 5’5” in height, wearing a black hoodie, black face mask, black shorts and sandals.

Patrol officers and the K-9 Unit searched for the suspect. The Police Service Dog was able to track the suspect briefly to the area of Gottingen Street and Bilby Street.
