Police Investigate Robbery
At 10:44 a.m. on April 17, 2022, Halifax Regional Police patrol members responded to the Bayers Road Petro Canada Gas Bar located at 7015 Bayers Road in Halifax for what was reported as an armed robbery.
Officers arrived and noted that a suspect, shortly beforehand had entered the store, indicated to the clerk they had a firearm pointing to their clothing and demanded cash and cigarettes. There was no firearm displayed and it is unknown if the suspect was in possession of one.
A quantity of cash and cigarettes was obtained before the suspect fled as a passenger in a maroon Ford Fusion taxi in which they arrived in.
The suspect is described as a white woman, 24-29 years of age, wearing both a blue medical mask and latex gloves. She is further described as wearing a grey knitted cap and black jacket with the hood up.
It is thought there may have been a customer who entered the store just prior to the suspect leaving and may have witnessed the later stages of the event unknowingly. The suspect has yet to be located at this time, but the investigation and further work is ongoing.
