Police investigate robbery GO#19-101976

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth.

At 9:50 p.m. on July 19, police responded to the area of Victoria Road and Demetrious Lane in Dartmouth to a report of an injured male attempting to stop vehicles.

Members arrived on scene within minutes and discovered a 24-year-old man with superficial injuries. The man mentioned he had been walking along Demetrious Lane when he was approached by a group of males who robbed him. He was pushed to the ground where he was kicked and punched. His cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen.

The victim was treated and released at the scene by EHS. The victim described the suspects as younger black males. No other information is available.
